Since qualifying as an Orthoptist from Moorfields Eye Hospital in 1988, I have gained a great deal of clinical experience working both in the public and private health care sector. I began my career in 1988 in Hastings , at the Conquest Hospital, where I stayed for 12 enjoyable years.
I treat a wide variety of patients, from all age groups, and get a great deal of satisfaction helping with squint and vision problems. I am particularly interested in the way that sight develops in the early years and using my skills and experience to ensure children achieve their best possible vision. I also enjoy the challenge of helping patients with complex eye movement disorders overcome their symptoms such as double vision.
I have been working with Mr Bell since 2005 on a part time basis, and thoroughly enjoy being part of the Frant Road Clinic team.
My hobbies include reading, cooking, playing netball and spending time with friends and family.
In 2001 I joined Bromley Hospitals Trust and was appointed as Head Orthoptist in 2002 where, in addition to my clinical duties, I am responsible for the Orthoptic and Optometry services for South London Healthcare Trust and Bromley Primary Care Trust.
